About us
Meet Queen Uche, affectionately known as “Bosslady.”
From humble beginnings in Nigeria to building a beauty empire in Hollywood, she has
become a global icon of entrepreneurship, leadership, and empowerment.
Her journey is not just one of success — it's a story of purpose, resilience, and
lasting legacy.
In 2010, Queen Uche began selling raw hair extensions from her garage in Los
Angeles. Armed with a trunk full of product, unshakable faith, and relentless drive, she
went door-to-door — building what would eventually become UCHE GROUP and
UCHE HAIR, now a multi-million-dollar global brand with storefronts and
customers worldwide.
A proud Nigerian-American, two-time beauty queen, and powerhouse mogul, Queen
Uche holds a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Nigeria, and is a
graduate of Harvard’s Business Leadership and Entrepreneurship
Program. Her brands have been featured on VH1, BET, Bravo, QVC, E!, and more
— but her greatest accomplishment lies in her unwavering commitment to impact.
Legacy, Family & Purpose
Queen Uche comes from a rich legacy of entrepreneurship. Her father, a respected
businessman, began his career in January 1960, moving from Eastern Nigeria to
northern side , where he launched his first retail shop. By August 1962, he owned six
thriving stores. Her mother, a true fashionista, owned a fashion house in the 1980s,
instilling in Queen Uche values of hard work, creativity, and discipline from a
young age.
Her mother was her emotional backbone — her source of strength through life’s
biggest challenges. In 2008, Queen Uche lost her mother to cancer, a devastating
moment that changed her forever. In her honor, she vowed to ensure no woman, child,
or family would face the trauma of chemotherapy, alopecia, or hair loss alone.
That vow became the foundation of one of her life’s greatest missions.
The UCHE Foundation – Healing Through Hair
Founded in 2005, the UCHE Foundation was born from compassion, personal loss,
and a desire to restore confidence and dignity through beauty. Inspired by her win
as Face of Nigeria 2005, Queen Uche turned a personal promise into a global
initiative.
The foundation donates custom wigs and hairpieces free of charge to women and
children experiencing medical hair loss. To date, the foundation has donated over
2,500 wigs to children’s hospitals and women’s clinics around the world —
offering more than hair: hope, healing, and strength.
Global Reach & Hands-On Leadership
Queen Uche is not just a founder — she is deeply involved in every aspect of her
business, from vision to execution. Her commitment to excellence takes her across the
globe, where she personally oversees product sourcing, quality control, and
brand expansion.
She frequently travels to India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and
Bangkok — working directly with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure top-tier
product placement and innovation for her companies and others. This
international presence has positioned her as a trusted leader in luxury hair, beauty
solutions and creating products for upcoming entrepreneurs and
companies worldwide.
Empowering the Next Generation
In 2017, after being crowned Miss Africa World, Queen Uche founded Us
Entrepreneur Women (UEW) — a platform that empowers women to turn their
passion into profit and their ideas into impact. Through AEW, she mentors and equips
women with the tools to become business leaders and legacy builders.
In Fall 2025, she will launch her Boss Lady Speaking Tour, sharing her story and
insights at women’s conferences, beauty academies, business schools, and
entrepreneurial hubs around the world.
A Legacy in Motion
This year marks two incredible milestones:
● 15 Years of UCHE HAIR
● 25 Years of Entrepreneurial Excellence
And she’s only getting started. In 2026, Queen Uche will unveil her next chapter:
UCHE HAIR MEN — a bold move into the luxury men’s grooming industry,
redefining confidence and sophistication for modern men.
Queen Uche is not just a businesswoman.
She is a mother, a mentor, a mogul, a philanthropist — and a Boss Lady who
turned heartbreak into healing and vision into victory.
She builds businesses. She builds legacies. She builds
people.
